Infertility is a Growing Epedemic

December 26th, 2009

On occasion fertility treatments do not go as planned and most couples need time to recuperate emotionally and physically. There are many thoughts jumping around in your head and questions being asked. Should you try again? Why me?

Don’t wait, learn how you can treat your infertility naturally and start the family you’ve always wanted!

But, if you and your significant other decide to try again your first step should be a stop at the doctor’s office. They can help and diagnose and look for a reason why your infertility treatment didn’t work. It is important to find out the reasons, therefore you’ll have the answers and it won’t happen again. It could have also been something on the other spouse’s side that was over looked. Don’t be another statistic and figure out what is going on. Some recent figures show that about 1 and 9 couples go through having problems on getting pregnant. They want to figure out how to get pregnant but don’t go through the proper steps necessary, and only end up childless.

Many women who are older believe information they have read on the internet and convince themselves that they are too old to get pregnant. They are wrong. Also their emotions are so deep that they actually believe that they won’t get pregnant and in the end they won’t. This is the approach that many woman and men need to avoid. It only brings moral down.

People suffer from infertility, but there is also another epidemic known as secondary infertility. Secondary infertility is when a woman can’t conceive after a year of unprotected sex. This is after she has already had a child. Sometimes it has to do with the male because he is under a lot of stress which decreases the overall quality of his sperm. Finding ways to reduce this stress (such as acupuncture) will increase the chances of conception.

Finding other ways to improve your chances in getting pregnant can be significantly lower in cost than regular infertility treatments. You should always try all the lifestyle changes before going the expensive treatment route. There are many vitamins and supplements that can improve not only your overall health but can also decrease your infertility.

In the end if you have to go the expensive medical procedure route you can always see if your infertility treatments are covered by your medical insurance. If not I believe infertility treatments are tax deductible. You should double check this.

Donors
If you have infertility problems and are looking into finding a donor you might find it hard. Here is a little help on how to choose the right donor for you.

Some couples may want to go through an agency which specializes in screening people, and others may want to use a friend’s egg. If you decide to go with an agency you should always look into how the donors are screened. And you may want to ask yourself the question why using a donor is beneficial for you and if it is the best route to take or not.

Surrogacy
Some couples may even decide to choose surrogacy which is a third party process for reproduction. When choosing to go this route, there are many factors you should consider before jumping into surrogacy. You should get an general idea of the gestational surrogacy process and what it entails. Others may want to go through an agency to find a surrogate mother, but others are lucky to find a family member who will help. But, you should outweigh the consequences before choosing to use a surrogate mother from the family.

Surrogacy requires all kinds of different donations. You may be a couple who needs a sperm donor, or an embryo donation. Donating an embryo is another type of infertility treatment which has been very prosperous and favorable with couples. It usually costs less than other forms of artificial reproductive technology (ART) treatments.

Bonding With Your Child After Surrogacy
If you chose to go the surrogacy route, you may worry how well you will bond with your child. It’s very common for mothers to induce lactation, to bond with your child through breastfeeding after a surrogate birth.

Just remember whatever you decide, you should always outweigh the positives and negatives. It may be a difficult time for you and your partner, but in the end all this hard work and research will pay off.

Also through Berkley’s Center for Reproduction, they asserted that woman who have higher success rates in becoming pregnant have undergone a combination of treatments such has acupuncture and additional therapeutic and or medical interventions.

The simple truth is that every woman is different from the next, and for some it may be easier to get pregnant than others. There is good advice out there, and I’m only here to offer some of my advice on how to beat infertility.

Don’t wait, learn how you can treat your infertility naturally and start the family you’ve always wanted!

One thing for sure is that worrying about getting pregnant can put a lot of stress and frustration into one’s life, however if you stop worrying about it so much, studies have actually shown that couples are more fertile and become pregnant more often when they stop worrying about what is wrong.

If you stop worrying about becoming pregnant, it will relieve a lot of stress and you’ll become pregnant naturally. But this is not the case for a handful of women. If this pertains to you, then you and your partner should seek medical advice from a doctor. Even if you don’t want to go through all the procedures and testing needed to help you conceive you should still go consult with a doctor. Many times couples put this simple task off and find out that their problem could have been solved easily.

Some problems that are easy to fix include having a minor infection or a little illness. Sometimes the couple who is trying to conceive may not even know they have a minor infection or a virus floating around in their system. Thus your body is told not to get pregnant and you’re faced with fertility problems, when you could be getting pregnant fairly easily and quickly with simple treatments or antibiotics.

There are also simple procedures which also allow people to get pregnant without burning a hole in your pocket. These treatments are non-invasive and can help you conceive. You have to keep in mind that not all fertility problems are as serious, time consuming, and expensive as others. It only takes one trip to the doctor if you’re serious about starting a family.

In the end, if you have been letting nature run its course and you’re still not pregnant. By all means take a quick trip to your doctor. It could be something very minor.
