About Fertility Problems

Hello! My name is Hannah Warr and I’m 32 years old, happily married, with one daughter who I dearly love and who means the whole world to me. The last 6 years of my life has been an up and down roller coaster ride. When I was 26 my husband and I decided we wanted to start a family, however after 11 months of trying to get pregnant we had no luck.

We decided to seek help from our family doctor only to find out our problems were a combination of things. My husband had a low sperm count, and I was aging. We were crushed when we heard this. We found simple treatment methods and decided on undergoing a more simpler fertility treatment – artificial insemination.

It was the best decision of my life, and now I happily have a 5 year old daughter who brings joy and happiness in my life everyday.

Not being able to have a baby is heartbreaking. You know deep in your heart that it is not fair. You know you would make the best parent in the world.

If only you could have the chance…

Infertility is not uncommon amongst people these days. It is not your fault! Being infertile by definition says you are incapable in becoming pregnant over a considerable period of time or within a years time, in spite of determined attempts by heterosexual intercourse without contraception. This can be due to many variables such as an infertile male with a low sperm count, or an infertile female with blocked fallopian tubes. These are only a few factors.

Many people suppose that once they stop taking contraception they will instantly conceive. And no, Infertility is not just a problem that exists in woman. Both woman and men can have problems with infertility. Statistics show that about 1/3 of all infertility cases are caused by women’s problems, about 1/3 are caused by men’s problems, and the last 1/3 is caused by a mixture of male and female problems.
